Mr.
& Mrs. Punch riding goats. 8+ inches tall, $2450. The question
is, why goats? and so far no one has been able
to come up with an answer. At least , not yet

Judaica
Collection: The Merchant , The Peddler and The Landlord.
These
figures are all very rare, $1500. each for the first two and $750
for the Landlord, who was a character in the French opera Mother
Goose

The
firemen figures are presumed to be Canadian, or perhaps American,
but definitely not English. The 9” figure is $1700, the 4”
example is $ 375. The middle size is the hardest to find, $1150.

Old
Testament examples are $850 each, and are about 10-11 inches tall.

Abe and the Duke equest pair |

| Extremely
large and rare equestrian pair of Abraham Lincoln and the Duke of
Wellington. It is much harder to find the Duke, perhaps because they
tended to sell the Lincolns to the States, but I would love to know
why these two were paired up as they seem to have no connection |
Same
mould, illustrating the frugality of the potters, but different
titles. From left: Old English Gentleman 16”, $750; Franklin,
raised caps, with cobalt jacket $1350; Washington, gilt script,
a really nice example, $1500.
